Based in New York City, Tatjana is a Local 600 director of photography and a Professor of Cinematography and Head of the Cinematography Department at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Graduate Studies.
Transitioning from Fine Arts and Applied Arts to Photography and Motion Pictures her artistic journey began with Drawing and Painting. She delved into an array of art forms, graphic design, animation, acting, music and history of arts, honing her craft and pushing the boundaries of visual storytelling on an international scale.
Tatjana embarked on a global creative journey, lending her expertise to a spectrum of projects across continents, including Europe, China, and the USA. She has worked on diverse productions, spanning from feature films, documentaries, short films, commercials and music videos. In 2014 she co-founded international “Pancevo Film Festival” and acted as its Artistic Director, guiding and curating a platform for cinematic excellence.
In 2023 her talent was recognized with the Haskell Wexler Best Cinematography Award for the feature film “Asleep In My Palm” at the Woodstock Film Festival, a testament to her unparalleled mastery of cinematic brilliance.
Notably, her groundbreaking feature film “The Load” made a triumphant debut at the 71st Cannes Film Festival in 2018, enchanting audiences and critics with its poignant narrative, amassing an impressive array of over 30 international awards. Similarly, the riveting documentary feature “Depth-Two” premiered at the Berlinale Film Festival in 2016, garnering accolades and praise from around the globe with over 20 international awards, including 8 main prizes, solidifying Tatjana’s status as a visionary in the world of cinematography and storytelling.
